Now that I am back home from Japan, I do miss it because of the good culture, the people, the healthy food and when you can feel safe taking late night walks and everything it was really nice to just not have to watch your back and just go with flow of things. When I first arrived at the airport all I thought about was how I wanted to go back and stay and explore more than what I could do, kind of feel sad I even left in first place, but I did miss home. I miss the people I met in Chiba and the friends I made who made the whole study abroad trip worth it. This study abroad changed me in good ways I learnt more about myself and others and got to see that all of us are just trying to make this one life work and the best of it especially with our careers. My worldview thoughts always been opened but study abroad in Chiba just made them open more than I could think of, I learnt that we need to learn from others and if we did it might just benefit us and them. The reverse culture shock coming to the United States we need to do better with our food because as soon as I ate here, I felt back to bloat, and it should not be like this but in Japan they had one of the healthiest foods I ever ate. The best advice though I can give to other students doing abroad is just go with the flow and always have open mind and talk to others besides your group you’re in. I wish I knew to bring a bigger fan with me because its hot so I would definitely recommend doing that.
