When I first arrived in Dubrovnik, Croatia, I was overfilled with nervousness and excitement to meet my classmates that I was going to experience this trip with. It was a long travel day with connecting flights, and I was happy to finally be at my first destination. As I left the airport and saw Croatia for the first time, I was in awe. Everything was so green and the sun was so bright, and I was getting more excited by the minute. I got on the bus with my friend, who I went abroad with, and everyone else on our flight were dropped off at the hotel. We were told to leave our luggage there while we waited on our check in time, and we went to eat in Old Town. I walked with a group of about 12 other classmates that I had never met before, and I will always remember this first walk. We were all getting to know each other, while we were admiring the beautiful clear ocean water and other views. The weather was so enjoyable at about 75 degrees. Everything was just perfect. The picture that I chose to go with this post was the first picture I took with a small group. We are standing in front of one of my favorite views that we ended up having to walk by every time we went to Old Town. We were all still wearing the clothes that we traveled in, and we were all just enjoying each other’s company. This was the beginning to one of the best trips of my life!
