Throughout my time abroad, I have been to New York, London, Paris, and Italy. There was definitely a difference of culture, and there were even differences being in the same country but just a different part like for example being from the United States but still the norm in New York being so different than what I’m used to. Each location has taught me something different and for that I am forever grateful. I learned the life of hustle in New York, the art of socializing in the afternoons in London, how there is no time constraint in Paris and how life is taken slower, and how important it is to have leisure time in Milan. I also got to experience the phenomenon of no A.C in Europe (not the best). If I could do it all over again, though, I would. The experiences were once in a lifetime, and the relationships that form are some you felt like you’ve had your whole life. A couple highlights of my trip include things such as The Palace of Versailles which was on my bucket list, going to the Louvre and getting to see the Mona Lisa, and walking throughout The Met Museum a week after The Met Gala had taken place and getting to walk through this year’s theme exhibit. Every day there was something new learned that related to my Fashion Marketing major. The opportunities I got to experience were so amazing and something I wouldn’t have ever gotten to experience outside of this trip. If you have the chance to study abroad, I encourage you to take that opportunity and step outside of what you know. You’ll come back with a different perspective and new things learned!
