After a week of studying and exploring Copenhagen, we were really enjoying our experience. We got to walk around the city numerous times and were beginning to get a feel for the city. Just as the first week was about to close, we boarded a train for Stockholm. The program included a weekend trip to the capital of Sweden, an awesome opportunity and a break from our studies.

The trip to Stockholm was pretty enjoyable. We traveled by train on Friday and had a four-hour ride during which we could complete some work and get ahead. This was nice as it allowed us to go into the trip stress-free, and we got to see some beautiful scenery the whole way.

Upon arrival in Stockholm, we first checked into our hostel and got settled in our rooms. We did not have too much time in the city, so we left to explore right after dropping off our stuff and making our beds. Our first stop was a pasta restaurant. The food was amazing and gave us energy to walk around the city until we visited the famous Ice bar. The entire bar is made of ice, and you are served drinks in ice! After the Ice bar, we explored the city some more and then went back to the hostel to get some much needed rest.

The next day, we went on a food tour around the city and tried the various cuisines of Sweden, all while learning about the culture and history of the city. We then visited the palace and the parliament building to see the beautiful architecture.

On Sunday, we went to Old Town and walked around the historic colorful buildings. The Nobel Prize Museum is also in Old Town, so we made sure to visit that before leaving.

After our visit to Old Town and the Nobel Prize Museum, it was time to head back to Copenhagen. We returned to the hostel, grabbed our belongings, and boarded the return train. Goodbye Stockholm!
