Coming back home after my time in London has felt a little strange, in a good way. I was only gone for a short time, but it is amazing how much a new place can change the way you see things. London felt fast, full of life, and packed with people from all over the world. Now that I am home, everything feels a bit quieter, and I actually miss the energy of the city.

One of the first things I did when I got back was unpack all the snacks I picked up in London. I had no real plan to buy them—it just kind of happened as I explored different markets, corner shops, and stores. I grabbed a quick photo before packing them into my carry-on before heading to the airport. Now, seeing them laid out makes me smile. Each one reminds me of where I was when I got it or who I was with when I tried it.

I keep thinking about the little things I got used to—like hearing different accents all the time, riding the Tube like a local, and being surrounded by so many cultures in one place. I even kind of miss the cloudy weather, which was not as bad as people said. In fact, many locals raved that we were experiencing great weather. What I miss most, though, is walking everywhere.

Being home feels nice, but I truly feel like I brought a piece of London back with me.  I am definitely excited to travel again one day. For now, I’ll be enjoying my snacks and memories.
