I am thrilled to be going abroad for the first time this summer! I’m enrolled in the IFRS Accountancy UA in Europe Abroad Program, and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities and experiences ahead. As part of the program, our class will travel to three incredible locations: Ghent, London, and Amsterdam. Each city is rich in history, culture, and global business practices, which makes them perfect for learning about international accounting standards like IFRS in a real-world context.
In addition to our main destinations, we will visit nearby countries on day trips, allowing us to discover and explore our cultural understanding even further. I look forward to stepping outside my comfort zone, immersing myself in different environments, and seeing how accounting practices vary across countries.
Another aspect I’m particularly excited about is meeting my classmates. Since we are all Accounting majors, we already share similar academic experiences and goals. I’m eager to build new friendships, learn from one another, and expand my professional network. This program will enhance my understanding of international accounting and help me grow personally and professionally.
This experience is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to do new things, meet new people, and understand an entirely new view of how the world looks. I’m also excited to discover how cultures differ from what I am accustomed to. Finally, I can’t wait to see how my class comes into context in the real world, as it is essential to understand how businesses work and communicate with each other around the globe!
