Studying abroad in Copenhagen has been one of the most exciting and refreshing experiences of my life so far. Each day feels like a new adventure, and I’ve loved getting to know the city not just as a visitor, but as someone living and learning here, even if just for a few weeks.
One of my favorite things to do is explore the different neighborhoods—each one has its own personality. I never get tired of walking through the city. Copenhagen feels both peaceful and alive at the same time, which is something I didn’t expect but have really come to appreciate.
Nyhavn is a place I keep coming back to. The colorful houses lining the canal, the boats swaying in the water, the cafés full of people, there’s something special about it. It’s touristy, sure, but it never feels fake. I love sitting along the edge of the harbor, watching people pass by, and soaking in the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and just enjoy being where you are.
The canals throughout the city are another highlight. Taking a boat tour gave me a whole new view of Copenhagen—from the water, you see parts of the city you’d never notice on foot. And now, I always find myself drawn to the water, whether I’m crossing a bridge or pausing by the edge just to watch the reflections.
There’s still so much more to explore, but I’m already falling in love with this city and everything it has to offer
