I had always heard about how difficult it would be to leave my study abroad city, but I never truly knew the extent of that. Now that I only have 1 week left in Barcelona, I would say difficult is an understatement. You are leaving a city that you spent 4 months in while travelling around the world. When I think about it, I don’t know if there were ever be a time in my life where I will be able to experience something like this again. It is going to be hard going back to the US and fall back into a routine after experiencing so much. I am already planning with friends I have made here to visit each other at school. I think that this is the best thing to do. Other people in my life will not be able to relate to everything I have done here. These people I have met in Barcelona will have shared in the same experiences and it will be like bringing a piece of Barcelona home with me.
