Moving to a new city can be difficult, especially when you move to a city that does not have English as their first language. When I arrived in Barcelona back in January, I was worried about what it would be like adjusting to a new city halfway across the world. After living here for a few months, I definitely think adjusting is a personal thing for every single person. My first few days were difficult. It is hard adjusting to a new time zone, new country, new language, and new group of people while also having to move yourself into a new living space on your own. The biggest piece of advice I could give would be to throw yourself into activities. I set a schedule for myself and took the time to learn and familiarize myself with the city. I think that doing this is what helped me to adjust so easily.
