The first country I visited on my study abroad trip was Vietnam. We arrived in the capital city of Hanoi on May 9th and visited many interesting sites inside the city and in the rural countryside. My favorite experience was visiting a college located outside of Hanoi and meeting students to discuss what their lives are like and how our experiences are similar.
After Hanoi, we travelled up to Ha Long Bay in the North to enjoy a cruise meant to show us the beauty of Vietnam. Pictured above is my view from the ship, which did not disappoint! I will forever cherish memories of singing karaoke with my fellow classmates on board.
These incredible places and the people I met taught me that although we come from different places on the planet, many people are the same. We departed from Vietnam on May 13th and travelled to nearby Cambodia.
