Seeing the world is something on my mind truly every day. Whether it’s a new continent, country, or city, traveling explores culture, customs, and the world itself in so many ways. My passion for traveling began at a very young age and continued to grow more and more, especially once I moved states away for college. I always knew I wanted to do a study abroad during my four years at UA. The UA Honors program in Germany was the perfect choice for me to have the opportunity to explore a new culture and extensive history during my summer. As I prepare to depart in less than a week, I am scrambling to pack clothes, remember all the necessities, and check the boxes on my checklist. In the end I will still forget something, but the most important thing I will be bringing is my eagerness.
I am so eager to see the beauty of the cities, to listen to the bustling streets, to taste new flavors, and most importantly, to gain more knowledge than I had before. Germany has always been an interest of mine because of its rich history and its innovative industries. Food, I say, is one of my love languages and something that I always look forward to when traveling. I truly hope to eat and live like a local because I feel that is the essential mindset for traveling. From this trip, I also look forward to gaining new friends that will give me new perspectives and viewpoints to help me grow and learn even more. Overall, I cannot wait for this experience and to make memories that I will always have to look back on.
