My name is Luke, and I am very excited to go on my study abroad trip. I will be spending 3 days in Barcelona, a week in Lisbon, and a week in Porto. I will be traveling with the Management Information Systems department and studying Information Systems in Europe at the master’s level. This trip is a great opportunity for me and I am very thankful to those who have made it possible. I will board my flight to Barcelona tomorrow evening and arrive around noon on Sunday. The Sagrada Família is the sight that I am most excited to see, as I have had it on my bucket list for a long time. I have only been to Europe once when I was younger, and I have also wanted to see the Mediterranean for a very long time. I am excited to try seafood like paella. A goal of mine for the trip is to try and photograph as much cool looking street art as I can find. When I am on such trips, I make plans to visit all the best and most renowned spots, but I often find that some of my favorite parts are the cool and niche things that I find in between the large attractions. When I went to Amsterdam several years ago, we saw some of the major attractions of the city, but my favorite part was listening to a song played by a large street organ. It was a random encounter, but it was one that made my day, and I still remember it years later. I hope that for this trip to Europe, I find many unexpected cool things. I hope to listen to lots of local Fado music in Lisbon.
