I chose to study abroad for multiple reasons, each meaning a lot me and what I am enthusiastic about. The summer is the best ideal time for me to study abroad, and I loved that it would be an engineering credit that contributed to my overall degree, while also exploring multiple cultures and traditions as well. It was also incentivized for me to study abroad because as an out-of-state student, I am billed at approximately $1500 per credit hours, and since this is a 4-credit hour course I would be paying $6000. However, for this abroad program I paid a total of about $5000, which I considered much cheaper than if I stayed and took a natural science course during the semester. I realized that I would be getting what should be a semester long course out the way in a summer. I would get it completed within 18 days compared to, let us say, four months that I would have to take in the fall. I also love learning new things as well. I am extremely excited for this opportunity since I do not get to travel out of the country often, and I’m also just glad that I’m earning more credits towards my degree. It helps me more and more on possibly graduating early, and achieving and earning all my credit hours needed so I stay on track on my degree completion.
