Now that it is May and the weather is starting to warm up, people are beginning to lie down in the green areas, which has allowed me to sit down and reflect on the time I have had at the University of Birmingham, as well as the time I have left. I have about two months left on my exchange, which, in itself, is a concept that has not yet hit me. The bond that I have created with my friend group here is something that I know I am always going to cherish forever. They have shown me what it’s like to be surrounded by such amazing people and learn to love a place so deeply. Classes ended back at the beginning of April, and now we are entering the final exam season. Experiencing how university is done in a different country has its challenges because it is completely different from what it is back home.

Since I have been here, I have had the opportunity to travel within the UK and visit five countries! Exploring new cultures and countries has been such an eye-opening experience because it has allowed me to reflect on how different everyday life is around the world. So far, one of my favorite places that I have visited is Copenhagen, Denmark. This trip specifically was a solo trip that I decided to embark on, and it was one of the best experiences I have had. The people there were so friendly, and the city was incredibly clean and safe. Throughout this trip, I was able to learn about myself and focus on my capabilities of navigating an unknown area. I am so incredibly thankful to be able to have these experiences and continuously learn about the world around me with some of the best people that I have met as well.

For the next two months, I will be travelling to a few more countries and cities, but am also locking in for my final exam and paper. I want to enjoy these last couple of months to the fullest extent and be able to live in the moment, specifically with my roommates. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the time has in store, and I cannot wait to continue my experience abroad.
