It’s been a little over a month since I got back from my study abroad trip in Thessaloniki, Greece, and I miss it more than I can explain! I’m so grateful for the lifelong friends I made, both the ones I traveled with and the amazing people I met at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. We’re still in touch, and I’m still learning about the culture and traditions every week. It’s so special to have those lasting connections.

This experience truly changed my perspective on life. Being in another country helped me see the world through a different lens and reminded me how valuable our differences are. There’s something so beautiful about learning from other people and other ways of life. It reminded me that everyone has a unique story, and that’s what makes cultures and people so special.

While I definitely gained experience in advertising and marketing, the biggest impact came from simply being present, listening, and learning from everyone around me. I’ve already gotten the chance to talk about my time abroad in a few job interviews, and those conversations have opened doors for new opportunities this semester.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had this experience, and I know it’s something I’ll carry with me forever. It taught me not just about marketing, but about life, relationships, and how much there is to learn when you step outside your comfort zone. I can’t wait to travel again someday and keep exploring everything this world has to offer.
