While traveling across the country of Vietnam, each location had a different food specialty to try. The start of the trip began in the south, and we worked our way up to northern Vietnam.

Well in southern Vietnam, the food there was warm, just like the place. Experiencing the heat and also eating a bowl of hot pho was an exciting experience. The depth of flavor and the style of display was something new to me.

My favorite thing I tried while in the south of Vietnam was the traditional Vietnamese iced white coffee, this was truly magical!! It was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter, the best pick me up for the morning!
The moment when I tried the iced white Vietnamese coffee was when I started my journey of trying the local traditional coffee in each location we visited while abroad.

Each of the following locations I tried the local specialty! There in central Vietnam it was salt coffee and coconut coffee. These were amazing but not my favorite. Once arriving in northern Vietnam the local coffee to try was called egg coffee. This was at first something that seemed scary to me since it was so outside of my normal. The coffee is made with whipped egg white and other spices. But I wanted to continue my tradition, so I tried the egg coffee!
The egg coffee ended up being my most favorite coffee of the whole trip through Vietnam! The slight sweetness of the egg foam and the delicious coffee flavor was the perfect combination in Hanoi city.

Overall the food and drinks in these beautiful cities were not only colorful but also delicious and added so much flavor and character to the trip as a whole. I would Recommend the food and this place to everyone possible. This is such a vibrant and upcoming country.
