One of the best parts of studying abroad in Europe is how easy it is to travel between countries. One thing I was very much looking forward to was the planned Stockholm, Sweden which with the rest of my peers. We were on a sleek, comfortable train gliding through the Swedish countryside.

The train ride itself was part of the adventure. With wide seats, free Wi-Fi, and stunning views, it felt worlds away from the hassle of air travel. No long security lines, no baggage fees, just hop on, relax, and enjoy the journey. In less than six hours, we were stepping off the train in the heart of Stockholm, ready to explore.

Stockholm was incredible — a mix of history and modern design, surrounded by water and filled with cobblestone streets, cozy cafes, and museums that made me wish we had more than two days. We wandered through Gamla Stan (the old town), took some time to visit the Noble Prize Museum, and even squeezed in a visit to the ABBA Museum for some lighthearted fun.

What struck me most was how simple it was to cross borders in Europe. No visa hassle, no language barrier (thank you, English-speaking Scandinavia), just a few clicks to book a ticket and the freedom to explore a new country for the weekend.

That trip made me realize how connected Europe truly is and how travel here doesn’t have to be stressful or expensive. It can just be…easy.
