Only 20 days left before the end of my study abroad program, and it’s bittersweet. It’s hard to accept that I’ll soon be leaving a place that has truly become a second home. While I’m excited to return home, it’s also incredibly sad to say goodbye to this chapter of my life.

Studying abroad has opened my eyes to a different way of living. Here in Spain, people know how to slow down, appreciate the little things, and embrace joy with a light heart. There’s no rush, no constant fear of missing out; instead, just presence, warmth, and simplicity.

The people here are incredibly kind, and Spain itself is stunning. We didn’t travel outside of Spain much, and I’m so glad we chose to explore the country itself. Doing so allowed us to get to know the culture more deeply—the people, the beauty, and the unique atmosphere that make Spain so special.

My homestay has truly made this experience even more meaningful. It connected me with people who became like family, and it helped me improve my Spanish much faster. Choosing to live with a local family was one of the best decisions I made.

As the countdown begins, I’m hoping to spend each of these remaining 20 days with full joy and appreciation. I want to thank everyone who contributed to this opportunity and to the unforgettable memories I’ve made here.

If you’re looking for a life-changing experience, I couldn’t recommend studying abroad more. It will challenge you, shape you, and gift you with perspectives and friendships that last a lifetime.
