Coming back from studying abroad in Seville, Spain has definitely changed me, in a good way. Being at home where everything is familiar will be a bittersweet. Even though I had an amazing time, I’m really glad to be home. Seville is a wonderful place that I’ll never forget, full of people and experiences that left a mark on me. I definitely want to visit again one day, but for now, I’m back to a familiar space, with my family and friends.

It’s hard to explain, but I feel like I’ve changed in ways I didn’t expect. I’m more confident now, more open to meeting people and open to saying yes to new things. My family has even said I seem calmer and more grounded. I guess spending time in a completely different culture made me think more deeply about who I am and what matters to me. I don’t stress about the small things like I used to.

That said, adjusting back hasn’t been all smooth. At first, it was comforting to be home, but then I started missing how spontaneous and laid-back life felt abroad. Here, everything feels busier, louder, and a bit more routine.

If you’re thinking about studying abroad, do it. I would love to experience studying abroad again, but in a different country.  Bring less stuff than you think you’ll need, keep an open mind, and make an effort to make connections with others. I wish I had taken more photos and videos to look back on, but honestly, the memory is permanently in my brain forever. The experiences and perspective I gained are completely worth it.
