I chose to study abroad in Asia because I thought it would provide me with an immersive experience in Southeast Asia where I would have otherwise never been. It helped me earn credit towards my masters degree for an international business class. When I was preparing, I made sure to make packing lists for each of the countries. I also checked the weather conditions to make sure I had proper clothing. To visit temples, I needed to follow the culture to cover my knees and shoulders. This was great to do prior research to respect the culture in the countries I was visiting. I am so excited to travel abroad. I am nervous about the language barrier, but I know it will be alright. I hope to gain knowledge on different economies and cultures to better understand how to do business internationally through cultural immersion. We were able to meet fellow students in the class before to prepare for the study abroad trip. It made me excited to get to travel with an incredible group.
