I just finished up my first week in Rome and WOW… has it been amazing! We’ve been here such a short amount of time but have already done so much. My program (SAI) has taken us on a couple different tours already. My favorite one so far was the Roman food tour. It was amazing! We also got to see all the sights of the city and it is even more breathtaking than the pictures. Moving in went so much smoother than I was expecting and I already feel so close to my roommates. We even made friends with the owner at a local wine bar which we visit every night now to go say hi. Everyone here is so friendly to us. I couldn’t have asked for a better area to be in. SAI has had so many activities which was so amazing because I’ve met so many people so quickly. I will be walking in the streets of Rome and see a familiar face and get to say hi! Who would have thought i’d be running into people i know on the streets of Rome!? It’s amazing the community I’ve been able to establish so quickly. I am feeling so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people in such an amazing place. We are already planning a day trip to Florence this weekend then London next weekend! I am so eager to see what Europe has to offer and i can’t wait to learn and experience so much more! Stay tuned for updates! 🙂
