There are so many ways I could describe my time studying abroad. From the breathtaking views to the delicious tapas, it's hard to put this experience into words, but it's worth a shot!

See: "perceive with the eyes; discern visually." Madrid is located almost exactly in the heart of Spain, situated on the Meseta on the Manzanares River. My experience abroad looks like a scene out of a movie. The city is filled with historical architecture, beautiful parks, and colorful food markets.

Taste: "the sensation of flavor perceived in the mouth and throat on contact with a substance." Madrid is known for its paella, roast suckling pig, and Galician octopus. Although those foods may sound a bit out of the ordinary compared to a good old Denny dog, they are mouthwatering. Being abroad has been nothing less than flavorful!

Hear: "perceive with the ear the sound made by (someone or something)." Although cities can be perceived as loud, my time abroad has been very rich. Learning new things, exploring the city, and getting to know others are noisy in the most pleasant way.

Smell: "the faculty or power of perceiving odors or scents by means of the organs in the nose." Imagine waking up every morning to the fresh scent of flowers. That's exactly what my experience abroad has been like, fragrant!

Feel: "be aware of (a person or object) through touching or being touched." My past month and a half in Madrid have filled me with joy, contentment, and pure bliss! Not a day goes by that I am not smiling, taking in all that my study abroad has to offer.
