Big Al started this Saturday morning with a 45-minute bus ride through the curvy hills of Spain on his way to El Escorial. Accordingly, he has his mask to abide by the mask rule on all public transportation in the country. In El Escorial is the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Big Al then took the beautiful 3-hour tour of this monastery and got to experience all of it’s gorgeous, historical features, such as: hearing the bells strike 11 in the courtyard, or the beautiful organ that is played in the chapel, walking through the many rooms with valuable art pieces and intricately painted ceilings, and the marble tombs of the queens, kings, and others of Spain.
