In less than 24 hours I will be getting on a plane and going to London! Personally, this is a very new and out of comfort experience. I have never been out of the country and I have only been on a plane once, so you could imagine the thought of this causing some anxiety to form. Although I am nervous, I keep myself calm by knowing that, at the end of the day, everything will be fine and this will be a life changing experience for me. Plus, overall, my excitement outweighs my anxiety. I am hoping to be able to try, see, and experience many new things. The main thing I had to consider when deciding to be a part of this program is financials. Thankfully, the Education abroad grant and other scholarships have helped tremendously with this burden. Without enough financial aid, I would not have been able to be apart of such an awesome experience. I am expecting to gain some very beneficial knowledge on my study abroad trip as well some once in a life time experiences. My trip is faculty led so I will be with other Bama students the whole time, which does bring a sense of comfort. I do not know any of the other students that are going but I am hoping to become close with some of them and be able to form friendships that I can bring back to school with me! I am very excited to see where this opportunity takes me!
