I think that many people would give advice to Future students about what to pack, what to wear, and all of the logistics, but my advice is to make the absolute most of your trip. Fit in as much as you possibly can. I went to 7 different countries in 2 ½ weeks, which of course exhausted me, but it was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. There are moments when you feel so exhausted and are tired of walking 6 to 10 miles a day, but this is your opportunity to go to places you’ve never been, see things you’ve never seen before, and do things you’ve never done. Make the most out of every second you have abroad. Along with that, I would highly recommend meeting new people. There are so many people that you encounter while on your trip, other UA students, vacationers, locals, and students from other schools, talk to all of them. I came into this trip knowing one person, and I left with tons of new friends, including those within my major, form my hometown, and even some from other schools. One of my favorite parts of this trip was meeting so many people from all over. We met students from Villanova, Wisconsin, Missouri, and so many other places that were either studying abroad or just there to take a fun trip, but they are people that I will never forget meeting, and I hope to one day reconnect with. Not only can I say that I just met so many other people, but I also got to experience a new country with them. Some of our new friends went on a tour of Tuscany with us, others went to dinner with us, and some we just got to sit and talk with. These are connections that you will have for the rest of your life, and memories that you will never forget. Make the most of it, fit in everything you possibly can, and meet new people along the way.
