Back in the States…!

I’ve been home for about 2 weeks now and I hate to say it, but I for sure missed the U.S. more than I thought I would. It feels good to be home! I have mostly been spending time with family and preparing for this coming Fall semester. I’m trying to review as much Spanish as possible so I don’t forget what I’ve learned this summer! It’s amazing how easy it is to forget what has been learned after such a short period of time, especially with a language.

So, why am I glad to be back in the States?

#1 Alabama Football

#2 Family and Friends

#3 Mexican Food (specifically… queso)

Aside from that list, the most exciting thing about this Fall is that I will be reunited with my friends from the program! It’s unbelievable how quickly we all became such good friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to live with in Spain for 2 months.

Yes, being back is great… BUT, I really hope to continue traveling after I graduate. Traveling offers a new perspective on the important things in life, which are different for every person. I have realized how many incredible opportunities the world has to offer that need to be taken advantage of. Don’t let the many sights to see, people to meet, stories to hear and adventures to take slip out of reach. Make the choice to explore and you will never regret it.

¡Adiós Amigos!
