We arrived in London around 11 am, jet lagged, and were forced to stay awake through the rest of the day in order to be able to sleep that night. I was tired, hungry, hot, cranky, and my first thoughts of London were “this is it?” We went to a pub for lunch where I had a big chicken sausage wrapped in some pastry bread. I was not a fan. It was not until the next day when we were able to explore the city that I finally began to fall for this new place. Big Ben, beautiful Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, all of the shopping, the chocolate room in Harrod’s- I began to think “I could get used to this”. Everyday was a different adventure where we discovered new things and I learned more about myself along the way. One of these things that I learned about myself is that I am NOT a patient person. I grew tired of the slow service at restaurants and began to miss the fast-paced service we have in America. I was also growing tired of fish and chips for every meal. As much as I enjoyed London, I was ready to move on to Paris and Milan. Next Stop: Paris- I thought, this is about to get really good…
