On top of Fort San Cristobal in Pamplona, Spain

I had no idea my Study Abroad experience would be this meaningful. The people, places, and events I have been able to experience have been incredible. Living in Pamplona has been a wonderful time with a fantastic group of students and professors for the University of Alabama. I have had the privilege to travel around Spain with some amazing people. We have gone to many different places from the Guggenheim in Bilbao to the beaches of Barcelona. Every part of my trip has been an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world.
Each weekend I have ventured away from my home stay in Pamplona. We have gone to San Sebastian, Bilbao, and Barcelona. Each place was amazing in their own way.
Bilbao was a beautiful city with impressive architecture. It is also home to the Guggenheim, which is one of the most interesting art museums I have ever visited. I enjoyed walking the streets enjoying the architecture and interacting with other people while I was there.
San Sebastian was absolutely incredible. San Sebastian is home to the most beautiful beach and bay I have ever seen. The views from the mountains and beaches were breathtaking. Although, I left with a mean sunburn, I left with incredible memories and photos.
For our long weekend, we decided to head to Barcelona. I feel like Barcelona is a city where you could visit for a month and you would still not be able to see everything possible. We visited the La Sagrada Familia, a church that has taken hundreds of years to build and has at least one hundred more before it will be finished. It was astounding to see the architecture and detail. One night we hiked up a mountain overlooking Barcelona and watched the sunset. We also visited the beach, danced at the discotec, had some great food, and much more. We met so many people from different parts of the world. Barcelona was one of my favorite cities I have ever visited.
This trip to Spain has been absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to see what adventures we take on next.
