Barcelona here I come!

I randomly decided to go to Alabama not knowing much about the school or state and knowing absolutely no one and it ended up being the best decision I’ve ever made. This is also how I decided to go abroad, I believe that all the crazy decisions I’ve made have taught me more about life than anything else, and essentially will help me in my future.  I had to consider the cost before deciding to go, it was definitely a huge commitment and I needed to make sure this was something I wanted 100%.  Preparing to go abroad has been pretty stressful, I didn’t know that you had to consider how you would use your phone internationally, or debit/credit cards etc. I’m trying to keep an open mind and stay positive to mentally prepare myself for this experience.  I heard the medicine is different there so I made sure that I packed all types of medicines for all symptoms, you never know when you’re going to get sick! I get worried thinking about how I will be able to communicate with my family and friends since I’m not sure how my phone will work when I get there, but I constantly remind myself that I’m only going for 6 weeks and I’ll be back before I know it. I hope to gain a new perspective on life, to be able to experience new cultures and in general learn more about the world. I would love to travel to other countries while I am abroad to experience more cultures as well. I can’t wait!
