UA in Austria: Engineering & UA in Austria and Germany: History, Science, and Engineering

 

The course is open to all majors, all students and is offered during the May Interim session, which allows students to continue their travels in Europe or return back to the U.S. to take Summer 1 and 2 courses, intern, etc. We will examine coastal challenges including sea level rise and explore the rich history including the famous adventurer and writer Casanova. We will then travel to Bolzano Italy visiting the South Tirol Archeological Museum (Otzi the Iceman) and a winery tour. The course is primarily based (12 nights, May 8-19) in Innsbruck Austria, a city of 125,000 (including 25,000 university students) located in the European Alps.
